Zakopane is a unique town, with a lot of character and typical highland architecture unlike anywhere in Poland. It also is an ideal location for your holiday in Tatra mountains.
Of course, one of the most important factors to make your holiday stress free is a nice and clean accommodation, with an approachable, friendly and responsive host. Therefore we decided to help you out and hand picked some of best places for you, based on location, comfort, and value for money.
We have spent many summer holidays in Zakopane and know which areas are most convenient to stay, being close to the mini-bus stops, and within walking distance to the colourful high street Krupowki; we also know the best areas for those looking to stay somewhere quieter yet convenient.
Personally, we don’t always go for the same type of accommodation for holidays in Zakopane. Sometimes we seek charm and quirkiness, sometimes we want something modern and reasonably priced. Often we aim for self catering, then other times we just want to enjoy local cuisine, or best have an option to be flexible and enjoy the best of both.
We tried to present a wide selection of accommodation, so you can find what suits you best for upcoming holiday.
One thing certain – we made sure all apartments/rooms have WIFI.

- A superb modern villa which offers its guest several self catering apartments, with views towards Giewont or Gubalowka
- The apartments are suitable for those looking for quiet place, a bit further from hustle & bustle of high street Krupowki (around 30min by foot to Krupowki)
- The apartments located on 1st floor have own balconies, great to enjoy your morning coffee or evening beer outside (check before booking)
- Most apartments have a small kitchen annex with oven, good for cooking simple meals.
- Very friendly and welcoming host!
- There are pubs (karczmy) and shops nearby, on Koscieliska Street.
- A tennis table available for guests use, in the basement of the willa.
- Note that NO washing machine is available.
- Apartment located about 3km away from bus station, hence you will need to take a taxi, bus (only to Koscieliska street) or walk (circa 40 mins).
- Great location if you want to hike to Giewont via Dolina Bialego or Dolina Strazyska, Sciezka Pod Ryglami and Sarnia Skalka – the trailhead in proximity of accommodation.
- This location is also good for catching buses from the bottom of Krupowki or along Koscieliska Street for hikes in Dolina Chocholowka, Dolina Koscieliska, hiking Czerwone Wierchy or exploring Tatry Zachodnie (Western Tatra range).
- Newly opened villa with variety of rooms including a family room, very closed to Kuznice (so gateway to many trails).
- Rooms are ensuite and air-conditioned, all have TV, coffee/tea making facilities, but no kitchenette, so this villa is mostly situated those who plan to eat out during their time in Zakopane.

- If you are after the apartment in the middle of it all, this place is for you.
- Central, a ‘home from home’ stay is guaranteed with the whole apartment available for guests.
- Suitable for couples, friends or whole families (cot bed and high chair provided on request). Parents be aware that in high season this is not a quiet location.
- Kitchen with a microwave, fridge, oven and a small hob. Also offered are kettle and a coffee machine. Dinning area to enjoy your breakfast.
- Note: this is a an old tenement building and there is NO LIFT in a building.
- Note: some nights may be noisy as many bars and pubs are located on Krupowki and a restaurant is located directly below the apartment. However, if you like to stay late and love the vibe, you will enjoy your stay.

- Beautiful mountain residence with variety of rooms and apartments available for guests (check details of your accommodation before booking).
- Bambi is located just off Koscieliska, one of the most beautiful streets in Zakopane with many traditional highland style cottages.
- Krupowki is just a stone throw away and so are many bars, inns and restaurants as well as cafes.
- Perfect location for catching mini-buses to Koscieliska & Chocholowka valleys.
- Breakfast is included in the price.
- Free private parking (ask for availability).

- This place is not luxurious as some of the above. However it is a historic, listed building with highly rated welcoming hosts.
- If you like places with a soul, full of history, you should stay here.
- The house is located in a quiet and green neighbourhood, yet not far from Krupowki.
- Ensuite rooms. Please note: rooms are located at the attic, so there are bevels and some areas of the apartment may be lower.
- Guests have access to a shared fridge and a microwave.
- Guests can request for their breakfast and dinner to be served.
- Reasonably priced and superb location for every hike starting in Kuznice (Giewont and Kasprowy Wierch, Zawrat, Czerwone Wierchy) you either walk or catch a bus at the top of Krupowki. Good for a hike to the top of Nosal as well.

- Willa Lesna is located in a quiet residential area, further from the centre of Zakopane but very close to the walking trails. Hence if easy access to Kuznice (20-25 min walk) is what you’re after, you will enjoy your stay here.
- Since Willa is located far from bus station, you may either take a bus or a taxi to get to your accommodation, but once there you can walk to Krupowki.
- Variety of spacious rooms available: single, double, twin, triple, rooms for 4 people or family rooms.
- All rooms have an electric kettle, a well equipped communal kitchen is available for all guests.
- A small playground for kids available at the premises.
- Garden with BBQ facilities available for guests use.
- Shared communal sitting space, game room and ski storage also available.
- People love this place for its deco, location (close to Kuznice), friendly staff and a fair price.
