Rannoch Moor, Glencoe Print

Description

The iconic Rannoch Moor in Scottish Highlands photographed in spring.

The pictured last remains of snow in the mountains are a promise of warmer days to come. The last snow patches in Scottish Highlands can last well into the summer, but this photo was taken on a beautiful, peaceful morning in March, on my way to hike in Glencoe.

Rannoch Moor is one of the most recognisable landmarks in Scotland and incredibly popular with visitors and photographers alike. It’s breath-taking in any season but I love it the most on a spring or wintry morning, with warm light gently touching mountaintops.

It’s not common to photograph the lochs and lochans of Rannoch Moor perfectly still and mirror-like, however whenever such perfect conditions occur it is to great joy of anybody lucky to experience them.
To capture reflections of mountains at Rannoch Moor truly is any photographer’s dream, one that came true for me numerous times as I am lucky to visit the area regularly.

Please note this is a print only product that will fit standard frame sizes bought from popular retailers.

Due to differing monitor displays, the colour reproduction on this print may differ slightly from what you see on your own monitor. Mine has been calibrated to match the output the labs will print, please also remember that photos on a monitor have the advantage of being backlit and so therefore may appear slightly brighter than a print on white paper. I compensate for this before printing but the image on your screen will always look brighter.
