“I have recently moved to Skye and then came across this guide. As a local (albeit new) I can confirm that the general information provided in the book is very accurate and includes all you need to know about Skye. I especially appreciate the authors paying attention to ‘how to drive’ on Skye as this is increasingly becoming a problem especially near the main tourist attractions. Roads on Skye and the Scottish Highlands and Islands are unique and this e-book provides brilliant tips and advice on safe driving and parking.  But what stands out for me in this e-book is the number of very detailed walks all over the island. Walks are logically grouped per geographical location and include clear overview such as difficulty, distance, estimated duration, parking information and most importantly a map. Then detailed description of the walk with lots of photos follows. Photos included with each walk also include brief description, so you have an idea what to expect from the walk and what the views will be. I have already completed few walks and the description is spot on and clear instructions given. There is one specific walk I always fancied which includes ‘bad step’, traversing short rocky section. This has always put me off as I couldn’t find clear description on the internet and wasn’t sure how to approach it or whether I could do it. This e-book provides clear description and photo with a map how to tackle this rock. It’s these little things in this e-book that makes it specially! I’m a plus size female, not super fit and walk rather slow. But even in my slow pace I can fit in the estimate duration of the walk (this was a problem with other guides where I had to add additional time).  There are walks for everyone in this e-book. From easy to moderate to hard-core hikes and there are so many of them. I have yet lots to discover on Skye and this e-book is such a great help. Highly recommend!”
